Meet the Team
Dr. Joshua Mijares received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio in 2020. Between 2005 and 2012, Dr. Mijares attended the University of Texas and the University of Texas at San Antonio for his undergraduate studies, where he triple majored in Economics, Biochemistry, and Chemistry. He remains an avid UT football fan and a longhorn through and through – HOOK EM! With his background so deeply rooted in chemistry, Dr. Mijares was eager to delve into the world of dental technology. He proudly brings the most comprehensive and up-to-date diagnostic software and state-of-the-art crown milling to his office. As newer technology emerges, Dr. Mijares hopes to completely revolutionize the everyday dental experience.
Dr. Mijares has received advanced training in Cosmetic, Restorative, Endodontics, and Prosthodontic Dentistry. Dr. Mijares is an Invisalign-certified dentist and a member of the American Dental Association and Texas Dental Association. “I am excited to join the Park Hill Dental team to provide friendly, quality care to each and every one of my patients. Attention to detail and listening to my patients enable me to provide a personalized dental experience that addresses their concerns, needs, and wants. I love taking care of my patients like they are my own family, and my gentle touch and friendly demeanor are the aspects of my dentistry that my patients love the most.”
Dr. Mijares met his wife, Krista, in a summer dental program at UTHSCSA. The two remained in school together, where she became an ICU Nurse and later studied to become a Nurse Practitioner. The nursing community and first responders of San Antonio remain extremely close to their hearts! Of all their accomplishments, they are most proud to be the parents of 3 beautiful children – Khloe, Kamila, and Jude.
Dr. Valle is originally from Harlingen, Texas, and has called San Antonio home for the past 11 years—Go Spurs Go! She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from St. Mary’s University, where she also served as President of the Pre-Dental Society. She went on to attend UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry and graduated in 2024.
Dr. Valle loves serving the community that has shaped her both personally and professionally. She is passionate about helping patients feel comfortable, confident, and well cared for. She’s always learning and enjoys staying up to date with the latest technology and advancements in dentistry so she can provide the best care possible.
Outside of the office, you can find her at the gym or in a Pilates class. She loves spending quality time with family and friends and is always trying out new restaurants in the city—so feel free to share your favorites!
